SPL Audit wishes to inform its clients and associates that the Minister of Labor has recently issued a Decree (ΚΔΠ 455/2024 – available in Greek) under section 11(6) of the Transparent and Predictable Employment Terms Law. This Decree requires all employers to submit the essential terms of employment for their employees by no later than February 28, 2025, through the Ergani portal.
As stipulated in the Decree, the essential terms of employment that must be submitted include:
- Employer details
- Business type (for retail businesses)
- Employee details
- Employer’s registered office address
- Place of business as specified in the employment contract/agreement and the actual workplace
- Employee’s job description and specialization
- Employment commencement date
- Employment end date (for fixed-term contracts)
- Indirect employer’s details (for temporary employment agencies)
- Conditions and duration of the probationary period
- Duration and allocation of annual leave
- Salary/wages and payment frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, or hourly)
- Standard working hours (daily/weekly)
- Any unpredictable work schedules
- Other benefits, allowances, commissions, or cost-of-living adjustments
We strongly encourage employers to take prompt action to ensure compliance with the new requirements set out in the Decree. Failure to comply may result in penalties or other legal implications.
