The Cyprus Tax Department has announced a temporary suspension of the Tax For All (TFA) system as part of scheduled maintenance works, along with an extension of deadlines for VAT returns, VAT payments, and VIES submissions.
Temporary System Suspension
The TFA system will be unavailable during the following period:
- From Thursday, 7 May 2026 at 13:00
- Until Tuesday, 12 May 2026 at 07:30
Extension of Deadlines
Following the above, and by decision of the Tax Commissioner, the deadlines for the following obligations have been extended to 20 May 2026:
- Submission of the VIES Return for the period of April 2026
- Submission of the VAT Return for the period ended 31 March 2026
- Payment of the corresponding VAT liability
Late Submission Penalties
After 20 May 2026, the above obligations will be considered overdue and subject to the following penalties:
- €50 for late submission of the VIES Return
- €100 for late submission of the VAT Return
- 10% additional tax on the VAT due
